Our Services / Extrusion Blow

Extrusion blow molding is a method of creating shapes through the process of melting plastic. The plastic is melted and extruded into a hollow tube which is then transferred into a cooled metal mold. Air is then blown into the hollow tube, inflating it into the shape of the desired container. Some unique advantages of using this particular method include: low tool and die costs, fast production rates and the ability to mold complex parts.

There are two types of extrusion blow moulding - continuous and intermittent. Blow Mould Engineering is capable of utilizing both these methods in their manufacturing process.
